at the 23rd hour, the dpj decided to shelve the bills they had agreed with the government to join other opposition parties in censoring abe. so, am i to understand that the dpj wants to portray itself as an opposition party loyal to other niche parties rather than a responsible party fit to govern/legislate? even if the party only has the next election in mind, i wonder which of the two images is desperately needed for the party, especially if it wants to capture the median voter.
