back in the mid-Sixties a lot of people were trying to replicate the Motown Sound....some people thought it came from the actual studio sound at Motowns home base but the reality is that a lot of Motown tunes were recorded in different places....Berry Gordy has said that it was the musicians and producers not the studio that made The Motown Sound....in any case, producers for other labels in different places were trying to capture the sound that was sweeping America--and sometimes they did that with moonlighting Motown studio musicians!....so signing off tonight with an example of a non-Motown Motown-sound record...the only hit by Jackie Ross https://youtube/watch?v=l4mEuuVIcAA
