This is supposed to be the 21st century, people. :/ The games industry is a business. And if those m/f ratio statistics for the UK are correct, it is utter madness to create a gaming environment that is hostile towards 45% of the demographic. All it requires is to be a bit less reliant on classic story archetypes like The Damsel In Distress and having characters that female gamers can genuinely empathize with ... is that really too much to ask from a multi-million dollar industry?
