beamsbibles Talk With GOD! ‘Keep Not THOU Silence, O GOD’ 21st Day Psalm 83:1, ‘Keep not thou silence, O GOD: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O GOD.’ Have you ever felt like GOD was silent in answering your Prayers? The Inspired Writer of this Psalms tells us GOD is not silent! Read the story of Elijah running from Jezebel in 1st Kings 19 again. When he found his way to a cave attempting to make it his ‘hide out’, GOD spoke to him. GOD allowed Elijah to experience an epic storm, an earthquake and a huge fire and in each Elijah did not hear the voice of GOD. Yet when Elijah settled his heart and soul and opened his mind, GOD spoke in a small still voice. Folks, the GOD of Elijah is still the GOD of Christians today. HE still speaks in the ‘small still voice’ when we open our heart and mind to hear HIM! Consider the ways GOD speaks… ‘We Hear HIS Voice Every Time A Life Is Touched!’ I have a Prayer I pray always before I Preach, ‘FATHER GOD touch lives, today…’ I Pray this Prayer asking that GOD will use the Message, the Word of GOD to touch lives. Having said that, when I get busy with the things of this life, my mind focuses on the task, the event, the circumstance I am facing and I at times do not hear GOD. It is not until I ask HIM to ‘touch me’ to ‘speak to me’ that I can hear HIM. HE speaks to me when I give HIM my complete attention, as HE did Elijah. Does HE Speak to you? ‘We Hear HIS Voice Every Time A Heart Is Changed!’ When I Pray my Prayer, ‘FATHER GOD touch lives today…’ I also add ‘…change hearts today…’ GOD saved my soul when I was 13 years old and HE changed my heart when I rededicated my life to HIM nearly 15 years later, when I volunteered my life to HIM five years after that and when I surrendered my life to the full time Ministry nearly 20 years ago. HE spoke to me then, HE speaks to me now ‘when I am still’! Does HE Speak to you? ‘We Hear HIS Voice Every Time A Soul Is Saved!’ Finally, I add to my Prayer, ‘…save souls today LORD!’ There is no greater joy than to be able to lead someone to CHRIST, to witness someone receive CHRIST, to hear of a circumstance where one you have been Praying for comes to CHRIST. Recently, Missionary Willy Falk to Germany was in the hospital. He shared a room with a 90 year old man and after days of witnessing to the man both in his Words and his attitude toward his hospitalization, on the day of their joint discharge from the hospital the man received CHRIST. When Brother Willie’s daughter posted that news for us, I rejoiced! Do you rejoice when someone is saved? Does GOD Speak to you? If your soul is stirred every time a life is touched by GOD, every time a heart is changed by GOD, every time a soul is saved by GOD, then HE is speaking to you! HE speaks to you every time you open HIS Word, every time you sit and listen for that small still voice!
