cant stress the importance of this conversation right now as we pray for & remember those who died today: rabble.ca/blogs/bloggers/views-expressed/2014/06/terrorist-muslim-look-numbers-belies-equation some salient points: In Europe and the US last year, WAY more people were killed by leftist or white supremacists groups than Muslim terrorism. This doesnt make the news and I think it is SO SO important to ask why, especially when were committing resources to bomb a country and potentily being asked to reduce our civil liberties. Does isis make me fear for my life and rights? A bit ya. Im under no illusions that they want to hold hands and sing kumbaya with us. but I fear way way more for the rights of many dear Muslim friends and colleagues who do not deserve to have their rights and safety curtailed in our society based on how they look or the god they worship.
