Arthur made his way in with Merlin quickly following. Mordred hung in the door way not completely sure if he should be there. “Take a seat Mordred” Arthur said gesturing to the table as he still wasn’t finished talking “thank you Sire” Mordred replied taking a seat. Arthur really was a good man. “You deserve a drink after that training session” Arthur stated “oh thank you Sire” Mordred said smiling. “Merlin fetch us a drink will you? And is the armoury is locked? ” Arthur ordered with a wiry smile he did look to order him about. Merlin looked at Arthur then at Mordred and then back to Arthur. Mordred couldn’t believe how much Merlin didn’t trust him! He would have to find out why but right now he had not important matters to deal with. “Yes it is and I just get some for you.” Merlin answered and after making sure Arthur’s sword was right next to him Merlin grabbed the sliver jug from the tray and with one last glance at Mordred he left the room. Mordred was amused. Did Merlin really think he was going to attack Arthur whilst he was gone? Arthur had started talking again about the training session and started moving around the room. Mordred noticed the keys to the armoury were just left on the table. Perfect! While the king had his back turned he quickly and quietly grabbed the keys. Arthur being in full swing with his speech didn’t notice a thing. Mordred smiled. His plan was in motion.
