coming from personal experience, excuses eventually where thin, and questions begin to be asked. they may not be asking you yet but they ask me and their mother. As hard as i try to convince them to forget about you they cant. Trust me i know the feeling i went through it with both sets of grandparents. So......while you may think that we put them up to asking you, as some kind of attempt to get them "off our hands" for the night, it is nothing more than them wanting to see their grandparents. so when the calls stop and communication ends dont wonder why or what you did to make them or us mad....because it is just human nature, you ignore someone long enough or come up with enough "excuses" and eventually they grow tired of asking. as i explained to them it happend to me so i know the feeling.....thought maybe me breaking the news of how you make them feel would be easier than them breaking the news to you :)
