connect.garmin/activity/469675841 Graham Albrow (aka Harold) and Gary Laight (aka Albert) proudly represented Barnsley Road Club in today’s Colomba Cardio Classic. Starting in Richmond and taking an anti-clockwise route around the Northern Dales, including Buttertubs Pass, the pair recorded respectable times, Graham 4hrs 19 mins and Gary 4hrs 30 mins. A challenging but picturesque route, hardly any major roads to negotiate, must say well thought out. Overall a very well organised event, excellent directional signs, plentiful refreshments during and after the event…jacket spuds with two fillings! Be back next year for sure, worth the trip, and will be making a donation to Children’s Heart Unit Fund (chuf.org.uk/). PS – perhaps a club weekend could be arranged for next year, mini-bus (inc. bikes) up Saturday am, do the ride, a tea time special, bunk for the night and then cycle home next day?
