copied from DR.soad ^_^ What to expect on the day of the Interview . The interview will take place at the Faculty of Medicine. You should be there at any time between 09:00 am and 02:00 pm. However, the earlier the better. You should register your name first and then go to the Arabic interview. You will go to the interview in groups not individually. After you finish the Arabic interview you will be asked to go to the English interview. You will be asked to introduce yourself in English. Sample Answer: My name is ...., Im a student at the department of ....., Faculty of ......, Tanta university. If you are no longer a student you can say: My name is ...., I graduated from the Faculty of ..... in 2010. I work as .... / (Or you could say: I dont have a job right now but I would like to work as .....). You will be given a reading passage and the interviewer will ask you to read a few lines in order to test your ability to read in English. The interviewer may also ask you some questions to test your ability to speak in English. Example: Why are you taking BULATS? Sample Answer: - I would like to learn business English - In order to help me when I communicate with international companies at work - To improve my English language - To be able to discuss issues related to business in English - To get a certificate from Cambridge University, United Kingdom - To improve the four skills of English: Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing - To learn how to be a member of a team Question: How did you know about BULATS? You can then mention the name of the person who told you about this training whether a friend or a teacher, ...etc. Question: What do you expect to learn if you join the BULATS course? Sample Answer: - I expect to learn how to make effective presentations. - I expect to meet and work with colleagues from different departments/faculties/fields. - I expect to be better in English. - I expect to learn new vocabulary related to the field of business. - I expect to take a test with Cambridge by the end of the course. - I expect to learn how to write business letters, e-mails and reports. - I expect to learn how to apply for a job. - I expect to know how to pass an interview successfully. - I expect to develop different skills such as presentation skills, negotiating, teamwork, ... etc. After you finish the English interview you will be asked to go to the Computer Lab on the 6th floor to take a test in English. This test is very important. It involves two sections: reading comprehension questions and grammar. It takes less than 30 minutes. After the test you are free to go home and enjoy your time until you hear from Pathways. The names of those who will be accepted will be published here in shaa Allah as well as on Pathways website.
