cracks in the main structure of Basilica del Santo Niño aside from its belfry falling to the ground :(... major damage to churches in the land of my birth, Bohol, with one reduced to a pile of stones... none of these will ever be completely restored to their former glory... i know that these churches are very vulnerable to earthquakes as they were very old but this fact still doesnt take away the feeling of doom that their destruction brings... if we, who only saw pictures, feel this way then i cant even begin to imagine what the Boholanos are feeling right now especially that a lot of them said that they wanted to flee to their churches for refuge when the earthquake happened...
