dear friends, in another two hours, i will be leaving for agastyamuni in garhwal with old time friend sunil negi and cousin vinod nautiyal. there, we have to interact with the victims of the last years ecological catastrophe and make an assessment of the ground reality. will keep you posted... today evening, our halt is at kotdwara, the middle gateway to garhwal -- eastern gateway being ramnagar and western one being haridwar! by tomorrow evening, we will reach agstyamuni of course after negotiating through gumkhal, satpuli, pauri, shrinagar, dharidevi, rudraprayag, etc. the meeting in agastyamuni is on monday i.e. may 5, 2014. after the meeting, we are likely to return to delhi via deopryag and rishikesh. of course, vinod nautiyal will take all pain to drive his beautiful vehicle! the excitement of visiting our motherland is immeasurable! incidentally, our villages are not far away from the town of pauri. i am definitely going to request vinod to have a trip up to dandapani so that three of us have at least few glimpses of villages -- kafalana (vinod), onchar (suresh), and kathoor (sunil)! your good wishes are with us!
