did a three hour challenge on the craft hole group I belong to tonight. We had to take an ugly paper, an ugly embellishment, and an ugly trim and transform it into a size 8 tag. Here is my ugly and since I have been working on some Fall things here is a Halloween tag I made with them. my Ugly paper (two sided) that I originally got years ago because it was called exotic east so I thought I would use it as an Asian theme or with Elephants or something, lol. and then the big orange silk flowers and that bright orange sequin ribbon.... Dont think I will ever understand the sequin craze going on because when you cut into that ribbon those little things just jump off and fly everywhere, lol. and I used both sides of the paper for my tag and stamped a spider coming down from the top. I stamped the Prima stamp called mindy and fussy cut and colored her but had to cut off a lot of her big hair so I could put the stamped witches hat there in its place. For her top I colored then glittered it for some sparkle and for the skirt I folded on of the flowers and left it orange and attached to the back of her and the other one I folded it then inked it some with the black ink pad and then sprayed it with recollection purple spray ink and heat set it then again with some stardust glimmer mist. For the waist band that is a chipboard button that I cut in the shape of the waist and inked and sprayed also. Then I braided some of that sequin trim with some shiny gold ribbon and brought one side down behind her and the other side down over the front of her skirt and then made a matted sentiment and placed another inked chipboard button at the top back of it to attach the braided trim to let it dangle on the front of the tag. I popped up the sentiment on the mat and also popped up the top off of the stamped girl while gluing down her legs and I did her shoes with a black glaze pen for some shine there. Doing the doll stamp alone was a challenge for me because although I have a few of them the faceless images kind of creep me out - hence me putting her on a Halloween tag, lol.
