I am a connoisseur of storytelling in its varied forms: literary, film, stage, etc.; I think it is the true essence of human life. To that end, I am trying hard to think of a story whose scope and execution are as absolutely compelling as Game of Thrones. I havent read the books (would love to, but there simply is not time in the foreseeable future, so dont bother; I will finish re-reading Faulkners oeuvre and every academic book in the queue before other fiction), but the detail and thoughtfulness of the multifarious sub-plots (the number of which I would NEVER have imagined being interwoven so effectively) and the clarity and intensity with which each individual character is developed on the SHOW is simply astounding. Im not saying its the greatest show ever, or anything of that nature. Any fantasy thing works with fewer constraints than The Wire or Breaking Bad, but the imagination and execution of the show are truly amazing...WOW
