I have been incredibly blessed to meet so many wonderful families during my time with Purdue University Dance Marathon. I have met the Swathwoods and Carters Crusade or have three kids that taught me how to be young again with there fun antics and their ability to always be filled with joy! I have met Julie Grindstaff Lesh who is the mother of Riley. Riley has really put this whole dance marathon thing in perspective for me. Riley has taught me that Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health treats patients and gives them more birthdays, incredible gymnastics careers, and amazing personalities. Not to mention being able to hear the incredible stoires of Griffin (Travis Shaw) and Molly (Kathy Widner) that teach me that life is precious and taught me that what we do for Dance Marathon truly makes a difference. Thank you to these families and more for making my Dance Marathon experience incredible and an extremely special thing! I dance so that more incredible kids like those mentioned above can be cured and live a blessed life. So they can impact students just like me.
