Check this out: fnic.nal.usda.gov/fnic/interactiveDRI/ It allows RDA computation with very fine graduation. I was trying to tell shannon how fabulous salt was, and how we needed lots and lots of it. She was all nope, its awful. Jesus dies for my sins so that i could live without salt. ok, perhaps im paraphrasing. but seriously, its like a religion to avoid salt for her. 1.5g sodium (my RDA) is contained in 3.84g of salt, which is a small palmful to me. And now that Ive run the calc for sienna, i see that they recommend 1.5g sodium for me, and 1g for her. 8-/ huh.
