email I sent to the President today. I have sent emails to Blunt and McCaskill as well. Mr. President I write to you today pleading for you to take control of the situation here in Bridgeton, Mo. There is a underground fire less than 900 from the illegally dumped radioactive waste from the ManHatten project in the Westlake Landfill in 1973. This radio toxic waste has already caused many health issues, deaths, and rare cancers in this community. The time has come to stop this cycle of contamination to save the future generations from what has happened to the current generation. This IS NOT ABOUT THE ENVIRONMENT as a whole but our unique situation with a fire burning and moving towards this waste. The EPA doesnt have the knowledge or the expertise needed to handle such waste. Please turn this over to the Army Corp of Engineers for immediate testing and remediation to prevent a catastrophic event from occurring.
