(email sent a month ago) Dear Governor McCrory, Why not be a gentleman and just admit that Duke Energy Progress is running our states environmental policies and let them have your job. You have been useless, and have lied at every turn about the clean-up and responsibility for this. Now we as North Carolina citizens have another black eye, as far as the rest of the conscious people in the nation are concerned. You and your super-majority and your cronies just could not stop at waging war on the poor people, disenfranchising minorities with your unpatriotic dismantling of the Voter Rights Act of 1965, and declaring war upon the rights of women to govern themselves in choices regarding their own bodies. You sir, apparently have no shame. Look for me very soon on the campaign trail. I am running for a seat in our General Assembly, and even if I do not succeed, I will enjoy every second I have to speak to people about why NEITHER side of our partisan government has any real say in our governance, nor any real power, save that given you by corporations like Duke Energy. -submitted, Peter Graves Roberts, Dare County.
