ereshkigal is at least calm now thanks to some sedatives.she is sleeping. i will be headed to teh vet in the morning, either to say goodbye or arrange cremation or both. i knew this day was coming, she has severe heart disease in all four chambers. her breathing is fast and shallow, she coudl not stand up earlier today she had jumped in my lap, purring, tried to steal kitten food, she was feeling good. she has had several episodes like this but much smaller. she was at the vet just on tuesday, everything checked out ok but its pretty clear, her heart is failing. this is not a fight we can win. good night my dear sweet girl my favorite memory of her is my first, i came home and heard mewing, ran upstairs and one of the moms had given birth. and halfway across the floor as a kitten, just barely dry, mewing and swimming along. that same spunky spirit characteried her whole life. she would have been 14 on the 29th she is Bendys half sister.
