ever heard the term, illth? it was coined by a guy named john ruskin, and it never caught on, but if i had my way, it would. it is wealth turned harmful to/for humanity. it has violent intent, greed intent, pollution intent. for example, weaponry is illth. its detrimental to society, and most of our tax money goes toward it. the oil and pharmaceutical companies deal in illth. they hide the greed and pollution they create. again, detrimental to society. ruskin would say that real weath is possession of the valuable by the valiant. it has/creates social benefits. economic production that creates social regression = illth. its quite lame that the human race is still killing each other and ruining our earth with pollution. can we not at least be honest enough to say that illth has overtaken wealth? that can be the beginning of change, you know. you and i can be valiant in our little way. and as david crosby said 45 years ago, speak out, you got to speak out, against the madness......and it appears to be a long time, such a long, long, long, long time, before the dawn.....
