facebook/Dscripting Here is a really Fun one I have been toying with for a while, started floating the idea by a few friends last couple weeks and there were some positive responses. Not sure if anyone is running with it, but I already gave em a head start and I really hope someone can make this idea work :) Simple really, not even 100% sure there isnt someone already doing this. A growth tube, with holes for branches and leaves to get out, but strong and tight to restrict growth of the trunk. Probably cast Iron or something, growing trees can create quite a bit of pressure hehe. Likely needs some tightening band locks to be safe. Bend young trees in, cut out piece and put pieces into gaps on other side for sharp corners (pieces should heal into place on most tress if done well) Let them grow a couple years (make sure the extra space in the tubes is just a bit less than they are expected to expand in the given time) when they fill up the tubes, take em out. Put some pieces together and make furniture. You could cut it off at the roots and treat it, or transplant it :) The example chair uses 4 of the same pieces shown in the unit examples. Of course full chair unit customized intricate pieces are possible, just trying to keep it simple :) Of course if you transplant then t is likely it might not be a chair in a few years.. maybe it is a throne.. or maybe it is something more abstract. Im sure there are plenty of ways of taking care of it to help it keep its shape, or guide its growth into something else. Help nature out, employ a tree, they are the most reliable low staff you could ask for :) It should hold its shape well for a few years.
