Rio de Janeiro (CNN) - A small explosive device was found Sunday near a religious sanctuary in Brazil that Pope Francis is scheduled to visit later this week, Sao Paulo military police said just few hours after the pope arrived on Monday. "On July 21, a series of training actions took place at the city of Aparecida," Brazilian police said in a news release on Monday. "During the drill, a homemade explosive was found. The artifact was sent to military authorities for verification.
