first day at vir was a success! James Clay brought cooling system parts (radiator, exp tank, tstat and housing, couple of hoses) which i installed while waiting for the snow to melt. only got three sessions, two of which were cut short, so not much time to learn the car. last session i got her up to speed a little more, short shifting (6k) and leaving plenty of margin for error i saw a 2:16 which is faster than i was expecting at this early stage. thats with the 2.93 open diff (i never used second so third was bogging a bit out of the slow turns). surprisingly wheelspin wasnt much of an issue, although i wasnt being aggressive with the throttle. chassis was a little abrupt at turn in and skittish under braking, nothing that be dialed out with a few suspension adjustments. only problem was when the gas pedal slid off the bracket and flopped around on the floor during the second session, i had to squeeze it sideways between both of my feet to apply throttle and get back to the paddock. the lock tab had broken off and i forgot to secure it with zip ties :)
