first full day in Paris …. walked approx. 15 km (!) …. saw an interesting exhibition at the Palais the Tokyo … (more on that tomorrow) spend too much money (all on strictly functional things though ... some as exciting as cleaning products ... ) a hundred thoughts …. (more on them in the coming days …) first impressions …. how well dressed most people are (quite different from Berlin ;-)) …. how some streets seem to be for (rich) tourists only …. how clean Paris is nowadays (I remember it being rather dark ….. black…. grimy …. now everything seems to be „beige“ … ) astonished that there are so few people walking along the Seine and enjoying sitting so close to the water…. sad at seeing „pet“ stores with cats and other animal in cages …. loving all the different cafés with so many people having coffees, beers, apéritifs … and enjoying a glass of wine sitting in one myself …. and ... real bike lanes! .... A VERY full day ....
