Obviously now some may come out with lectures for their friends/colleagues-aka juniors or (still) CA Student. Talk about public forums they come up with complain of demand and supply ratio of CAs in the economy are down sized and therefore find a better alternative to urge the Council for less passing percentage. And now talk about students, they are called as Failures or less intellectual. Special Courtesy is given to blog by CA Bikash Bogi for the analysis as laid hereunder of past results which are though not his (in case one like to demote respected sir for this) but ICAI published data which comes in some minutes of results declaration. Lets Check the Analysis, as drawn by him: 1. Passing percentage of students appearing in Both Group is 3.11%. [Lowest among last 22 terms / 11 Years][As per available data]. Only 1013 students has successfully passed both groups which is lowest among last 7 terms and also 4th lowest in last 22 terms / 11 years. 2. Passing percentage of students only appearing in First Group is 5.67%. [Lowest among last 22 terms / 11 Years][As per available data]. Only 2932 students [Out of 51278 students] has passed First group, the numbers are 2nd lowest in last 22 terms / 11 years. 3. Passing percentage of students only appearing in Second Group is 7.35%. [Lowest among last 22 terms / 11 Years][As per available data]. Only 4026 students [Out of 54786 students] has passed Second group. 4. Total 1.39 Lakh students [Highest in CA Final Exams Ever] appeared in Final Exams this term. [Only First Group + Only Second Group + Both Group]. Out of the same only 7971 students had passed [2nd Lowest among last 21 terms / 11 Years][As per available data] While going through my daily dose of some news websites I found an interesting remark by The President of ICAI, CA Subodh Kumar Agrawal on such a pathetic results (Courtesy: Times of India): One cannot attribute the lower success rate to any one reason. The CA exam reflects the performance of students. The low success rate could not be blamed on any recent changes in curriculum or pattern as the curriculum was changed at least five years ago. He said that the content in the question paper was totally from the study material provided to the students. Students have scored on what they have written. He claimed that there is no particular reason for the decline and attributed it to performance of the students. Kirti Agrawal, secretary of the Nagpur branch of the western region of ICAI, said, CA is one of the toughest exams. The dummy article-ship, sheer reading without understanding to get through the exams, over dependence on private coaching with lack of practical approach to solutions, have scaled down the results. Students need to focus on how to learn and acquire knowledge rather than just clearing the exam. Waow !! What a speech - Mr. S.K. Agrawal & Miss. Agrawal !! Now enough of their gyaan. Now I welcome answers to some of the questions from the fraternity:- Is it like they are producing (to mean manufacture) Chartered Accountants that such demand and supply ratios are to be evaluated and then re-evaluated? (RATHER THAN ALLOWING MARKINGS AT PAR WITH QUALITY). Okay, Being practical, the scenario of already passed fellow friends with not so satisfactory job, is it like our field cant extend to larger extent in Financial Planning, Financial Modeling, Economy, Analysis, Financial Journalist, Valuation, and so on. Cant the CAs in Board can think of making these as career options for the GenY CAs? (RATHER THAN DECIDING PASS PERCENTAGE). IS it like dummy doesnt pass and an honest Student always clears? (MY SURVEY AMNONGST MY FRIENDS SAYS DUMMIES ROCKS BOTH IN EXAM AND JOB). Is it like that intellectual or deserving candidates decreases in the downline of 4-5 years from the huge mass of population writing CA Exams.(ATLEAST MANIPULATE WITH SHREWD MIND MAN !!) Well Im praying that soon ICAI have Arvind Kejriwal sort of President and not like UPA-1(Uttam Prakash Agarwal) and UPA-2(Subodh Kumar Agrawal) Both are sort of -bhai bhai, bhai bhai who concentrate more on TQM of CA Students to be globally competitive not by salary but by quality, thinks and liaison for new work-avenues and spends hard earned money, less lavishly, which indeed is too much for many. Dirty Politics @ The ICAI Bins the student. I failed but reason for sharing this is not my failure repetitive but my friend who is now so mentally shocked that she attempted suicide. By the way she is neither a poor student. Thanks to Almighty to be her saviour. I welcome comments on it. I respect my Institute and seeking resolved queries and not critics
