from INDEED: Program Coordinator, Norwood MA National Kidney Foundation - Norwood, MA The Program Coordinator will plan, organize and implement programs, including but not limited to, kidney health screenings, volunteer management, public awareness, prevention and education campaigns, workplace wellness, and other projects as assigned. Principal Duties & Responsibilities Public Awareness, Prevention & Education Campaigns Secure grant funding for prevention and education programs. Oversee the annual public education programs during March is Kidney Month & World Kidney Day, including planning, budgeting, marketing, volunteer recruitment, etc. Oversee the public awareness media campaign using radio, social media, etc. Maintain relationships with grant funders. Assist at kidney health screenings, including planning, implementing, budgeting, and staffing. Maintain and cultivate new partnerships with community, minority, healthcare, political, and other relevant constituencies to facilitate the best delivery of programs. Maintain and cultivate relationships with medical professionals, universities, and dialysis unit staff. Produce and send monthly E-News letters to constituents. Workplace Wellness Program Manage workplace wellness program on kidney health in corporate settings. Research possible sites and maintain contact list. Maintain inventory of educational materials and assist in development of electronic resources. Professional Education Provide assistance as needed for professional education initiatives, including the annual symposium. Manage volunteers, including training & delegation of assignments. Oversee logistics, printing, handouts, mailings, etc. Volunteer Coordination/Training Recruit and train community and medical volunteers for kidney health screenings, health fairs, educational seminars and special events. Work with other staff members to determine their volunteer needs. Maintain and cultivate partnerships with community, minority, healthcare, political and other relevant constituencies to expand volunteer base. Maintain volunteer database. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university required. Experience with public education and/or prevention programs/campaigns. Minimum two years program /planning experience in a medical or health-related non-profit environment. Experience in grant writing preferred. Strong ability to set priorities, multi-task, work independently under deadlines and pressure. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
