The nominees for the 2014 Georgia Music Awards have been announced, and thanks to the great, talented people who choose to come to Open Sky Studio and make music with me here.... I think I actually have even MORE of my clients up for awards in even more categories than I did last year!!! Also, for the 3rd year in a row, I am nominated for the Best Producer award. I won it in 2012, and my brilliant and talented friend John Briglevich won it last year... Would be nice to bring home the award for a 2nd time, so if you dig the noise Im making, throw me a vote for that! And heres the list of my badass clients and friends who are nominees: The amazing Kadria (Inviolate) is nominated again in the Rock Female category. No less than THREE of my face-melting heavy metal clients are nominated in the metal band category... listing them in alphabetical order: Halcyon Way Inviolate Uberstout Nominated for video of the year: Halcyon Way In the Youth Rock category: Hard-rockin dudes The ATHENS band is nominated once again, and also Emily Vance (her video for her first single we recorded here, Something Stupid, won in the Youth category last year! Amazing session singer Seanna NaNa Turner is nominated in the Best Female category. Oh, and we played together briefly in a band CALLED The Nominees First-call organist/pianist Joey Huffman Keyboards is nominated in the Rock Male category. My own band The Dreaded Marco is nominated in the Rock Band category, as are my great long-time clients GWC!!! And also my lovely friend Clancy Kimber is nominated in the Model category (shes also on FB, dunno why it wont tag her page). Its always nice to have ones hard work and long hours recognized and rewarded a little.... everybody loves a pat on the back! LOL...
