getting stormy, i have good news even though this drought wont end soon or even this year, we should see a much more active and wetter then last year. because the dryness we saw over the last 3 years was so extreme, we probably bottomed out and peaked and well with different climate patterns now working we should see wetter years in the coming years. already humboldt county is having a wet october, it looks to be a wet week this week with more rain this weekend and even more next week, so our rivers and streams here will be full. Also looking at how active the pacific storm track is right now coupled with the fact that sst anomaly sea surface readings in the pacific are making for a really warm pacific and weak el nino, as we go into early november eventually it will rain more down in the bay area and places maybe further south. eventually heavy rains and storms will move into southern california, as it should come january to march. the drought wont be as severe and eventually there should be more water and we will see rivers and streams fill up, eventually with decent snows, over time we will see a lot of improvement. from what i can tell we should see a more normal year with typical heavy winter rainstorms through out the year. the really active rainy weather were starting to see from the bay are north, will eventually translate further south in to the rest of the state, so thats some hope that i see on the horizon.
