good info to know. Im in the portion of the industry automating the routine jobs away. its not always fun. did I direct my son to this route? no. I directed him towards hands-on, thought required, non-routine tasks that cant be shipped overseas or automated. Why? Its a PITA. With a technical job, you can one day begin your own business..and work for yourself. what type of jobs did I recommend? Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, Barber, auto mechanic, hot tub repair, appliance repair. Any skilled trade that requires a human being. He is at Comcast now for 6 years and works underground maintenance of fiber lines... great choice! Help your child choose wisely. Learn a trade, you wont be out of a job. (Last time you tried to get someone to repair your appliance, how long did it take? usually 3 weeks out... )
