got bored in work and applied for a job as a principal of a school - TopicsExpress

got bored in work and applied for a job as a principal of a school in Dublin: To Whom it may concern, I am very interested in the upcoming school principal position. I have over two decades experience working with and supervising students whilst operating as a principal. I worked at Springfield Elementary School for several years where I had to manage the morale and oversee the day to day management of the school. I consider myself somewhat a strict disciplinarian, I have an uptight, militaristic attitude that stems from my years in the United States Army as a Green Beret, which included service in the Vietnam War, where I achieved the rank of a sergeant I am used to working in high stress environments. I once was held as a prisoner-of-war in Vietnam for 18 days and had to to watch my entire platoon devoured by elephants. As you can imagine this has hardened me to the stress of working as a principal. I have experience dealing with troublesome students and I find discipline a key cornerstone in the management of a school. Sometimes it is necessary to use unorthodox methods to control students. For example, one time I had to lure some of the more troublesome students into a utility basement with the promise of free mountain bikes and locked the door once they were inside. Overall I feel I could be a great asset to this school and I hope to hear from you soon. Yours, Walter Seymour Skinner
