#gubotkaauangcityhall this is regarding the suspension of the City Mayor: The Office of the President issued suspension order (preventive suspension) for 6 months against Iligan City Mayor Celso G Regencia . This is in relation of Adminstrative case filed by Atty Cabili against Mayor Regencia for Grave Abuse of Authority and Illegal dismissal of Atty Cabili as City Legal Officer. It has nothing to do with the ambush of Cong Varf Belmonte in which Cong Varf earlier said that the motive of the assasination attempt was politically motivated. Incidentally another suspension order was also signed by Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales for a graft case filed fof illegal withdrawal of the 12M intel fund by the City Mayor without COAs notice of advise.. if the 2 suspension order will be served , CGR will be suspended for one (1) year or 12 months since each suspension order (preventive suspension) will be served for a maximum of 6months.. this is an Admin case and a Criminal case filed separately in the Office of the President and in the office of Ombudsman
