I did what the only thing I could do --- I closed my eyes and hoped it wouldn’t last long.” I’ve been on a murder case for about a week now. The seen was horrible. It kept playing in my head. And the horrible truth is --- THE MURDERERS ARE STILL ON THE LOOSE! “What the heck is this?” detective Matthew asked showing a hint of fear. “It’s an eyeball” I said showing a lot courage than what I had. Body parts where hanging from the ceiling. The site made me want to puke. “Who can do this kind of things?” Matthew asked. “Someone with a bad sense of humor.” I said. “Jeez, after what we’re seeing here you’re still in the mood to joke around!” Matthew said. “Hey, lighten up a bit will yah!” I said with a chuckle. That’s when it hit me. LITERALLY, it hit me--- HARD. Then it all went black. It’s amazing how a million thoughts can race in your head when you think you’re about to reach your doom. I did what the only thing I could do --- I closed my eyes and hoped it wouldn’t last long. I thought of the saying “TIME FLIES WHEN YOU’RE HAVING FUN” or should I say “TIME FLIES WHEN YOU’RE ABOUT TO DIE.” I saw Matthew being slaughtered like an animal. The worst part was he was still alive. I could hear his screams of pain. I couldn’t do anything at the moment I tried to pull myself loose and managed to run for the main road. I saw a car near the road it still had it keys on it. YES! Then a guy came out in front of the car with a gun. I ran over him. I drove home until morning. I found out more about the guys who killed my partner. They were a primitive cult that believed in killing people to become immortal. I never had the chance to find them. But I’m not gonna give up , I WILL bring justice to Matthew’s death, one way or another!
