… had my regularly scheduled 3 month blood draw/oncologist appointment at the James at OSU this past Thursday … ALL good news - the blood test results were excellent - I got excited when Dr Kendra pointed out that my LDH levels were awesome - the LDH levels indicate the cancer cell activity in my body … Doc said that when cancer cell creation/activity is high/strong the LDH level can be at 500 or higher … the docs want the LDH levels below 300 … MY LDH level was 153 !!! this is the 2nd straight blood draw where my LDH came in around 150 ( in July it was 147 with the prior reading in March of 179) … Dr Kendra said that IF my CT Scan scheduled for Jan 22 comes back with continued positive results she will put me on a 1 year out rotation of scans !!!!!! I am getting a lead !!! and so far I am able to hang onto it !!! … it was soooooo refreshing to see, hear the optimism on the staffs faces, in their voices … this was a FIRST in 4 years for such visible , upbeat behavior from Dr Kendra and her fine staff … the OSU fellow who met with me first kept saying how refreshing it was to read reports/get labs where their efforts have been successful … feeling so good about being ALIVE and NOW feeling like I may actually BEAT the odds they gave me in 2010 … just being here still in 2014 beat the odds NOW with the chance to grow old !!!!!!!!!!! … we stopped at Frischs Big Boy coming back to Logan after my appointment - I tipped the waitress 100% … Thursday night I slept soundly and I KNOW I had a smile on my face …
