had to repost... Thanks to the ALS ice bucket challenge over $15,000,000 was raised for a disease the effects 1-2 out of every 10,000 people... Yet THE CITY OF WILNINGTON DOES NOT HAVE A HOMICIDE UNIT. IM STILL RIDING AROUND WITH A BULLET HOLE BECAUSE THE CITY OF WILMINGTON HAS $0 FUNDS FOR PROPERTY DAMAGE AND I REFUSE TO FIX MY CAR ON PRINCIPLE ALONE... FURTHERMORE IVE NEVER MET ANYONE WITH ALS... HAVE YOU????? But Im sure you know a homeless person, a pregnant teenager, a child struggling in school... I donT mean to harp but the more I learn about this challenge my heart aches for humanity... I dont knock anyone who did the challenge... I just dont agree!!!! I dont understand how substantial amounts of $ can be raised for a disease that effects SO LITTLE of our population yet there is so much voilence and need in our communities... Just think if all those people who did the ALS ice bucket challenge in the state of Delaware made donations to our police dept the city of Wilmington might have a homicide unit...
