half a dozen ways to be late (aka The universe doesnt always love me/I dont understand how time actually works) : 1) Wake up to hysterical phone buzzing noises under your pillow (where my phone sleeps in case of foster home emergencies in the middle of the night). caller:you have to help me my dog is in danger of being killed today. Im being evicted from my house (this dog is an 11-year-old Akita that doesnt like most people) that ends up being a long conversation (with a hopeful outcome!) Let foster dogs out - feed dogs - take shower-run out the door. 2)run back upstairs because you forgot a little dog named Porkchop that supposed to meet his family today. 3)after getting Porkchop in the car,realize that you left your keys upstairs -inside - door locked. 4)set phone on the banister- crawl up in the window on the second story balcony. Run in and grab keys. while driving away decide to check phone and see how late you are... 5)realize that your phone is still sitting on the banister. Drive back run upstairs and grab your phone. disgusted. Repeat daily with some variations.
