happy sunday, dear readers of the future....if youre not keeping your fingers crossed to win a copy through my giveaway, and if youre not coming to the tour, the window to get a *signed* copy of the art of asking is closin up fast. one of my OTHER favorite cambridge/local indie bookstores, Harvard Book Store, is going to lure me back into their stockroom on november 10th where im going to sign another 200 copies or so, then theyll mail them out. so youll get them soon after the book comes out. i love these guys, ive been buying books there, new and used, since i was about 14 years old and first started taking the subway by myself to harvard square. their used basement, where you could buy paperback fiction for less than a dollar sometimes, was where i bought a lot of my still-treasured favorite books. (i remember, one by one, buying my entire john irving collection there at age 15). anyway - support!!! if you order now, they can start planning how many copies to have on hand when i come in to sign.
