hat I see in education is a reward/punishment system. The natural, innate desire in all of us to learn, grow and express is repressed. It is too hard to control. Those drawing on this will be unpredictable, dangerous and challenging to the established system, the fat salaries of lazy lecturers doing a terrible job. Once this natural yearning is repressed there is, like in prison, a command to learn certain things and facts. Turn up and youre rewarded with approval and the promise of a fat salary down the line. Dont and youre punished with low conformity marks and made to feel guilty.
