heads up MSC, now we havent broached the subject of Bertha as yet on the page. the reason for this is we are going on the scientific fact to the situation and not wild speculation. its a tricky situation that has many scenarios at this very point in time. Yes there is post hurricane tropical storm called Bertha ( the second of the season ) out there off the Caribbean, yes its track will see it head into European waters by the weekend, But and this is a huge blinking but,, its really hit and miss. Its heading into cooler waters which will cut off its energy feed, it may stray south and fizzle out over France, it may head north over Scotland , but it may come straight across the uk. whatever the situation we are looking at some very high rainfall accumulations, not prolonged that will see towns and villages submerged like in the winter , but there is a high risk of flash flooding , we also run the risk of some gusting winds, this is problematic when it comes to trees in full leaf, we could , in theory see isolated gusts of 65mph. BUT , its all up in the air at the moment and we are not panicking yet! i repeat we are not panicking yet!. its not a hurricane, its not a tropical storm, it could stray into waters that are warmer and give it a kick up the hows ya father , but its unlikely, we will of course let you know as we see the data come in , until then , if you need a brad pitt , take the express with you for a substitute for andrex . regards vicky express.co.uk/news/nature/495557/UK-weather-forecast-tropical-storm-bertha-from-bahamas-to-hit-Britain
