heres a view of this countrys embarrassing racism from the great white north. among many things that obama has accomplished in his presidency, the thing we may look back on is the portrait of the racist nation thats retarded by religion that we are. in america today, you can have texas senator ted cruz (r) saying, if the slaves were never freed in the civil war, you would have to wonder, where would obama be today? certainly not the white house, not in the capacity hes in. And you have some in America that think that might not be a bad thing. meanwhile, no one looses their mind. this is a totally okay thing to say on the air and we as a nation dont even stop to gasp for a nano second. racism is actually okay in america. in that way, i can see how this is a christian nation. after all, it is the bible that specifically sanctions slavery - and we expect that a president to take the oath of office with a bible - americas favorite theatre prop. *** NOTE: from george washington to john tyler, the bible wasnt used except by andrew jackson (and anyone who has paid attention knows how much he loved slavery and native americans so...) john quincy adams, swore on a LAW book; theodore roosevelt, no bible at firs swearing in; calvin coolidge did not place his hand on the bible; rutherford hayes did not use a bible; jfk did not place his hand on his family bible but it was on the podium; and barack obama did not have a bible at his do over ceremony with chief justice john roberts. --- so thanks, but no thanks to anyone who says that swearing on the bible is mandatory in this christian nation. *** get this nasty book out of politics and society and we might have a chance at healing ourselves from our history of slave ownership, subjugation of women, the the idea that our species was created - ALL of us, every last one of us - originally parented by mud man and his spare rib - that is continually being forced or snuck into our public schools instead of science, evidence and reason. why? because christianity is a cult of immorality based on worshipping someone who was tortured and blood sacrificed pay for their sins. why dont christians want to pay for their own crimes? what is moral about having someone else punished for your sins? answer: nothing. hence, if truly this is a christian nation, then indeed we are screwed. there is no justice. there is only - here... allow me to throw you under the bus... amen. the best thing about the obama presidency is that it has tear gassed these dangerous and violent racists out in the open where we can have a look at them. for my eyes - theyre a very ugly bunch. i can only hope for continued strength for the first family. get a grip, tea baggers... he won the election TWICE. we VOTED for him... we want him - and your only real problem with him is really his skin color which has you convinced his is of a lesser species than your ignorant, pale white supremacist butts. wrong.
