hey all!!! Sorry for the novel in advance, but I really hope you take a quick minute to read! Im sure you all have noticed an increase in my posts regarding fitness and nutrition. For those who don’t know, I’m an internal medicine physician assistant in Phoenix, AZ, and over the past years of practicing I have been overwhelmed by the devastating affect that inactivity and poor nutrition can have on one’s body, health, and overall well-being. I would say over 75% of what I treat on a day to day basis is due to poor nutrition and inactivity. I realized that simply treating my patients on a day to day routine was not enough for me. I wanted to help reach out to the younger generation to help them understand the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle, nutrition, portion control, and staying active. I also realized that as a parent, I am the one who passes down these skill sets to my children, and that if our generation didnt start making some major changes, we would continue to see obesity rates climb. Because of this, I have started doing what I would best call virtual wellness and fitness consulting- I have started running those 30 day challenges youve seen me post about. These are to help you who are motivated and ready to jump start some changes in your day to day routine to become a healthier you. My goal is to help not only with accountability and motivation, but give you some direction and tips in regards to smart nutrition and leading an active life using the knowledge of my medical background, extensive wellness training, and my fitness experience. I personally was having troubles getting my gym workouts in, so part of my venture led me to team up with the company that makes the well know home fitness programs such as P90x, Insanity, and Focus T25 to help as a tool for those of us who needed a little help with direction on home fitness. If you have ever thought about getting one of their programs, or thinking about in the future, please come to me so I can help you pick the one that fits your needs best, and to get the most of it so it doesn’t simply collect dust! In addition, for those who want to help make an impact themselves; I am always looking to help train rockstar individuals to help build my team to help me spread the word about the importance of a healthy lifestyle. Beyond being active in my challenges, I am always here for any questions you may have to help you make some small changes in your day to day routine, to give you some fitness tips, answer any question you may have.
