hi droolers!! this is an update on fred, who flew off my bed about 2 weeks ago and then couldnt walk on the hind legs. here he is in jail after being diagnosed with likely disc/spine injury. has been on rest since, not very happy. but doing much better. off pain pills for a week. wanted you all to know there is hope with back injuries. he wasnt that bad (clumsy but could walk and pee,etc) so they did not do X-rays or talk surgery at Univ Mn vet school lucky lucky us (so far). Ive been letting him walk around the house. no more jumping, no more on furniture. and i bought my king size bed so i could sleep with bassets!!....they choose to fly through the air to get down and not use the steps or ramp so no more bassets sleeping with poor me. very happy in st paul. hope all of you with ailing bassets get well
