hi everyone! thank you Daniel Woodall for the add! my partner - TopicsExpress

hi everyone! thank you Daniel Woodall for the add! my partner and i will be traveling to CR for 6-8 weeks at the end of january. well be in limon province, staying at a friends house that is currently unused. i hope its OK if i reach out for input from folks over the next few weeks as we plan-- im very excited, as this is my first time to CR! my main question at the moment is around internet, as we both will need 4 hours minimum for work per day and we need internet from home, as we dont want to rely on internet cafes. my current plan is to bring an unlocked iphone 6 (i checked it out and it looks like last month this model was approved for use in CR, and in online forums i found someone who said she used it there with no trouble), purchase a prepaid SIM card ahead of time from a website called costaricacellularconnection (if anyones had experiences good or bad with this company id love to hear them!), add data to the plan at the Kolbi kiosk upon arrival at the airport, and reload as necessary. does this sound like the right game plan? does anyone have a sense of what unlimited data might cost for 6-8 weeks (we wont be watching any videos or downloading any music but we need to download a lot of .pdfs and check lots of emails and browse the internet)? also, what im still unclear about, and cant seem to find on forums, is the situation with tethering and/or mobile hotspots. does anyone know if there is an additional cost to tether a cell phone to two laptops? is there any equipment necessary? does Kolbi freely allow this? any advice and input on the matter would be greatly appreciated! thank you in advance, everyone. sorry for all the questions!
