hi. this is harley. ive been thinking about me and mabel. i am so lucky to have her. i mean, shes the best sister in the world. some people may not know it, but i almost didnt get to come live with the mamas. they had to drive a long way to pick up mabel and they thought they were only bringing home one pup. but mabel had other plans. you see, we are twins. identical, you know. we were born seconds apart. mabel knew that twins can never be separated, so she always planned that id go with her to her new home--where ever it might be. when she found out the mamas were going to adopt her, she thought that was just perfect. theres two of us and theres two mamas, she said. from then on, she made sure i was in every single picture anyone took of her. and she always put her paw on me. looking at mabels pictures, the mamas fell in love with me too and didnt even know it. when day came for mabel to go to her new home, she distracted mama #1 while i worked on mama #2 (shes such a pushover). before mama #1 even noticed, mama #2 was loading me and mabel into our car for the long long trip home. when mama #1 realized i was coming too, i looked deep into her eyes (like mabel taught me). mama #1 instantly fell in love with me and soon, mabel and me were headed to our forever home, together. this is a picture of us when we finally arrived at our new home. my aunt martha was there with maggie to welcome us home. (maggie was a complete surprise!) me and mabel. together forever. she knew i would always need her, so she made sure we were adopted together. (and you cant separate twins!) and thats our story! (btw, my aunt martha is home from the hospital and is doing really, really well. thanks for all of your good thoughts and prayers!)
