hmmm. lets do a little of current affairs today; is BRITAIN part of EUROPE? ***Politically yes - U can say Britain is an European country because Britain is part of the EUROPEAN UNION( and as a member of the UNION, Britons can go to any European country without any hindrances) Britain joined the EUROPEAN UNION in 1972. *** Geographically no - Britain is not part of the European Continent. Britain is an Island. *** Culturally no - Britons have their own unique customs and values. and they hate it, when u call them Europeans. **** Economically yes and no - Britain is having economic ties with Europe. BUT European countries use the EURO, whereas Britain uses the POUND. its CONFUSING ISNT IT? Do u know that Japan is not also part of the Asian continent?
