hopes to be off the mark here . . . but the wrong Minnesota football team is going to beat their Wisconsin counterpart this weekend. Any realistic Gopher fan will be happy if their squad stays within three touchdowns of Bucky, seeing as how the Badgers will probably be favored by that margin come kickoff time. In fact, the spread may exceed the kickoff temperature . . . which may give Minnesota its only shot at keeping the outcome respectable. Meanwhile, the Vikings will probably come up short in their efforts to tank vs. the injury-depleted Packers, thus hampering their position in the 2014 draft. So the dual-football-border-battle weekend is not looking good . . .
