Yes, in November 2013, the most iconic and beloved character of all time turned 85. That character was none other than Mickey Mouse. Silly me forgot that his anniversary happened then, and even though Im two months later, Id thought itd be a crime if I skipped out on such a distinction like this, so I decided Im still going to do a week for Mickey this week. So, sit back and enjoy, my 85th anniversary tribute to Mickey Mouse. Well, if youre going to do a week like this, itd be great to start at his beginning, with his first cartoon ever produced. Of course, thats not the only cartoon thats on this film, theres also a bunch of other cartoons, that feature some of his first moments on this film too. So, to begin this special week off, I give you The Spirit of Mickey. We havent had this film on Monday since May 2010, which was 3 1/2 years ago. So, this is an excellent beginning. For those who dont know what this film is, this is a VHS program made in 1998 that has some of Mickeys finest cartoons on here. I love this one! This is my favorite VHS program made because it has classic material in here that features a lot of beginnings in here. Without them, we wouldnt have the stuff we have today. Although this one isnt really that old, it still feels like the ultimate classic. If youre lucky enough to find it on VHS, definitely get it because its one of the greatest. Enjoy!
