Keyboardist/arrangers now play all parts on recordings and replace the musicians - drummers, percussionist, bassists, horn plays, etc. A huge number of talented musicians are rarely employed to record songs, the loss of another source of revenue. Artists like Kerwin DuBois stand out in a crowd of mind-numbing soca drivel that offer few memorable melodies... sorry peeps, party slogan and chants dont count!
