https://youtube/watch?v=9oCuniKXZ84&list=PLCFEEA7AF8DB7CC08&index= this is my last ship we left the US In June 1988 we went to the western pacific along with USS CARL VINSON we were in Battle Group Charlie during our deployment we spent 93 consecutive days in the North Arabian Sea. one thing about our guys we worked hard and played hard If the Roanoke had been in todays navy all the enlisted would be on restriction cause we had some hard corps drinkers on our ship. would not have missed it for the world a great time.
