Now, the next film we had on Tuesday is another favorite of mine, that hasnt been played yet, so Id thought that day would be a good time to play it again. The next film for this week was Toy Story. The film that changed the world forever. Pixars first film ever made, and with no question in mind, their best one. This film ranks #8 on my list of favorite films. It has terrific animation, it has some really great characters, memorable songs, but the best part about this film is taking a story that was already known before, but doing it in a new and creative way. Thats why this film succeeds and why we all love it. Id probably would say the only flaw I have with this film is the designs of the humans, as noted by some of us around here, they kind of look like plastic puppets. The design of Scud also looks like a dalmatian swallowed Pac Man, but give them credit, this was only their first film, and lessons were learned in later features they did. In fact, it wouldnt be until The Incredibles, that the human designs were perfected, but thats another story. Apart from that, its a masterpiece and one terrific film thats big part of everyones childhood, like mine. This was the first of many Pixar masterpieces to come, and it was the game changer. What more needs to be said about this film, its really great. Ill have yesterday and todays films up, when I get back.
