https://youtube/watch?v=ceYa-ltT6xw So, here we are with the last film for this week, if you know that this was the film for yesterday. Anyway, the last film for adventure week is about looking for a very valuable object. But before we talk about the film, let me tell you the history of this film first. Production for the film started in 1981, but didnt get fully started, until 1982. It had a ton of money put into it, but then Jeffrey Katzenberg came in, edited the film, and there were also last minute edits done to the film too, just days before the film was released to theaters, and by the time it was released, it was a big disaster when it came out, failing at the box office and panned heavily by critics. In fact, it did so bad on its opening weekend, it lost to The Care Bears Movie. Hard to say, but its actually true, a Disney film lost to a Care Bears film. It was considered the lowest point in animation. Now, what film is this? This is simply known as The Black Cauldron. A film thats often been considered the crowning achievement of failure, but has grown a cult following over the years though. So, where do I fall in this film. Well, i do like it, but theres definitely flaws for sure. The animation is creative and it does have some strong ambitions too. But, theres no denying, the characters and story are flawed. Theyre the weak points of the film. On the whole, I think the film is fine. Every film does deserve a following, this one included. So, while I think this couldve been better, I still think its a fine film, as it is. Its flawed for certain, but what are you doing to about it? Well, that concludes our adventure week, and hope you had one, but hang on to your hats next week. Next week, we wont just be doing a tribute to those six fabulous series again, but well be doing a special kind of tribute to those series next week, and this trailer is among one of the contents featured in those series. Well tell you what they are tomorrow, but for now, well see you around!
