I honestly just want to see who will support the officer on this one. My feeling in this case the man who was pulled over had justification to struggle with this policeman. At the point he explains the correct law to the policeman, anything other than writing him a ticket seems like assault and attempted kidnapping to me. I know police technically have this right to control the situation once they start, but either the law needs adjusted or police departments need to hire smart enough and humble enough people to recognize when they have erred and to not escalate a situation. This was a bad pull-over and at most he should have gone back to his car to write the man a ticket, which would have been beat in court. Again it may look like the man started resisting, but at that point, the unprofessional behavior of the officer had to make him wonder if this was a policeman at all. In my opinion he had a reasonable suspicion that he wasnt being arrested, but possibly being kidnapped. No, Im not kidding. Again, I dont need to hear from all of this mans supporters, I only want to hear from people defending this exact officer. I want this to be a safe zone for them to give their side. I will delete any comments in support of the victim in this case. Feel free to start your own post to do otherwise. This is just a little experiment to see where we are in America.
